The challenge

One family.
Many categories.

Daewoo Electrical UK needed a packaging identity capable of working across a broad and varied appliance portfolio while remaining clear, approachable and recognisably Daewoo.

The system had to balance strong product visibility with lifestyle storytelling, communicate key benefits quickly, distinguish categories at a glance and remain practical across different box formats and retail environments.

Concept & ideation

From insight to a flexible packaging direction.

Early studies explored the relationship between emotional close-up imagery, clean product presentation, benefit communication and a continuous category label.

Visual identity system

Consistency without sameness.

A shared architecture gives every product a recognisable family resemblance, while colour, imagery and benefit content adapt to each category.

Maison Neue typography, a controlled colour system, simplified circular icons and a prominent warranty seal create a clear hierarchy that can scale across the range.

The system in detail

A visual language built around the product.

Every element has a defined role: identity establishes recognition, category colour supports navigation, iconography communicates benefits and lifestyle imagery makes the product relevant to everyday life.

Packaging architecture

Clear benefits.
Stronger shelf presence.

The front panel creates an immediate reading order: brand, category, product name, key benefits and product imagery.

A translucent vertical feature strip unifies icons and descriptions, while the colour-coded warranty badge reinforces confidence and becomes a consistent recognition point throughout the range.

Commercial implementation

One system,
implemented at scale.

The final packaging system was commercially implemented across Daewoo Electrical UK’s appliance portfolio.

The overview shows how the shared architecture holds the range together while category colours, product photography and supporting imagery give each appliance its own clear retail presence.
