A research report recently published by the Boston Consulting Group, finds that Southeast Asia’s consumer economy is being transformed by the ascent of the mass affluent. As the region’s household wealth increases, this income segment is likely to present a 40% to 60% share of household wealth by 2030, a highly significant market for most categories such as personalized travel, luxury goods and cars, among others.
